It is now some time that I own the Sharp LC-60LE652E, I waited a little bit to give my opinion.
After a small malfunction in unpacking the first TV, the excellent service Sharp traded him and I must say I'm thrilled!
I had until now a Samsung UE40B6000 I was very happy, I wanted a bigger TV. I was served! When I unpacked the Sharp I thought it was going to be huge, but after a few days we say that ultimately it's normal size.
The HD image is superb with a wonderful contrast!
I have a TV / Blu-ray use, not playing, so I could not give my opinion on this point.
I give you my settings I have taken time to find but here I must say that it is perfect!
- Contrast: 12
- Brightness: 10
- Color Saturation: 8
- Backlight: 50
- Colour Temperature: Normal
- Sharpness: 3
- Dynamic Backlight: No
- Film Smoothing: Smooth
- Noise reduction: No
- Skin color: -1
- Anti-block: Yes
With these settings I have very few parasites and other digital noise and the image is faithful and contrasted.
Hope it can help some!
PS : for the uptade of the tv firmware, it is possible to update the firmware via the Internet or using a USB support ("Menu" => "Controls" => "Software" => "Software update").
If your TV is not connected to the Internet and want to use USB media to perform the update then you should contact the Sharp support to ask them the last upgrade file.
The Sharp LC-60LE652E it's a Full HD 60 inches monster 3D Smart tv (led lcd) with a very good price for the size and the quality it has to offer. Sharp is well known for the quality of the big and very big tv panels and I think it's the only one which still mades the products in Japan (you still have to check this by looking at the back or asking the salesman, it can happen that a certain lot it's not coming from Japan.
Even it's big after a while you'll want a bigger one, or at least I am, but for the most of us it's big enough to not miss the cinema screen that much, maybe a little though.
It also has DLNA server so you can stream your video, audio and photos from your computer without any cable, of course, and play them with the integrated player. I recommend installing a streaming program like Serviio or Plex, both are very good as a media server.
We have 4 HDMI inputs, 2 USB 2.0, optical audio input, headphones minijack output, network socket (it's only Wi-Fi ready, so we'll need that if we don't want to buy the internet USB key) and that obsolete scart.
Even if this model it's from 2012 (at that time it was the biggest you could find in stores) it's still a good buy not only for the price and the size but also for the picture quality and the decent design.
