The classic Sony playstion controller has not really changed much since the ps2, but then it didn't really need to. With a slight tweak to the overall all size and shape of the controler for easy use with larger hands. The main difference comes with the addition of extra buttons, such as the touch pad, start/options button, light bar and head phone jack. Also there is a miniature speaker which most games make use of to give an extra audio effect. The only real floor with the controller is it's battery life witch gets heavy consumed by the light bar, however dimming the light bar in the menu options will extend battery life.
Personally, I love this controller. The soft and smooth texture helps when it comes to using it. When my hands sweat, it doesn't affect it at all and feels really good. On the downside though, the analogue physically hurts my thumbs, every time I move it the grip irritates my skin. Also, whenever I move the analogue it feels as if it's going to snap.
