Being in my 20's I have been experimenting using different enhancements. I am a avid user of Lube as I find it gives long lasting sensation and a great feeling. I only ever use the lube for masturbation as I think it make It mire exciting and provides better stimulation. It last a long time I only find my self buying it every 3-4 week's depending on use. Although it is expensive keep an eye for it on special offer.

I picked this up while in Tesco last week, as it was reduced from £2.90 to £1.93 which I don't think is too expensive for 50ml of product. I've never seen lube in Tesco before but I suppose the big yellow 'Sale' stickers attracted my eyes to it, lol. The lube comes in a little light blue bottle making it look a very unisex sort of product. I have had issues before with my boyfriend been immature and refusing to be seen in public buying my usual favourite Durex Cherry lube due to the bright pink packaging lol, so the blue colour is definetly a plus side. The bottle has got the Durex logo on and then the world 'play' in white writing, making it clear that this product is part of the Durex Play range. At the bottom of the bottle it reads 'feel intimate lube'. The packaging is nothing special really - it doesn't stand out or look any different to the other Durex lubes, however because of the slim design of the bottle it is definetly more attractive looking than the big bottles of lube, and it is overall nice and simple.
Getting the lube out of the bottle is simple and easy as it is depensed through a pump. The spout can be put into a lock posistion to avoid any of the lube going to waste. I think that the pump definetly makes the lube last longer as I only need to press down once to get a generous 50p sized amount of lube out of the bottle. The lube is quite average in consistency - not too thick and not too waterry. It's quite like a gel which is really convinient and makes it extremely easy to dispense with minimal mess and it is not as messy on my skin/bed sheets as the more wattery lube. It is transparent and completely colourless and odourless. It doesn't have that horrible plastic undertone scent to it either - if you sniff a glass of water, that's what this smells like - completely nothing, lol. It is not flavoured either which I found a bit of a disadvantage as I don't see any point in using lube for oral unless it is flavoured - using this for oral is a total waste of time and money in my opinion but everyone has personal preferences I suppose and it is worth noting that despite not been flavoured it does have a very slight chemical aftertaste, which is not strong enough to be unpleasant although I don't particullary enjoy it. Me and my boyfriend use this mainly for anal sex as I don't usually use lube for vaginal sex as I don't have any issues with dryness. I usually need a lot of lube when having anal but suprisingly enough, a little of this does go a long way and it lasts quite well too - around 10 minutes or so before needing topping up and it doesn't dry quickly either like some lubes do.
This lube works fine either on a condom (normal, dotted or ribbed - it really doesn't matter!) and is obviously also fine to come into contact with skin. Me and my boyfriend use this on both condoms and skin. On condoms it is really good, it doesn't blob up into the ribs at all and with normal condoms it doesn't go blobby, it spreads evenly and adds just enough lube without making the condom slimey and yucky. When used skin on skin it is very easy to get it spread evenly onto my boyfriends penis, it does absorb a bit into the skin though which seemed a bit odd, but atleast now he's a little moisturized lol. It isn't greasy or gooey and is nice and gentle on both mine and my boyfriends bits and bobs - neither of us have experienced itching, redness, soreness or any discomfort at all. Overall I really like this lube. It is not the most exciting lube, but it does its job. If you're after a lube to make oral more exciting then this definetly isn't for you - i'd reccomend getting a flavoured Durex Play lube and there are plenty of flavours to choose from. This lube is ideal for vaginal or anal sex and definetly helps in easing the pain of anal sex and making it a more enjoyable experience, lol. It is also an affordable and widely available product. On a side note (i'm sure this is common sense!!) this lube does not contain spermicide and does not act as a contraceptive.
Durex Play Feel is the first lubricant I ever tried and is one that me and my girlfriend have been using ever since. It cost me about £3.50 from Tesco, and comes in a 50 ml plastic bottle with a pump. It is a water-based lubricant and can be used for oral sex, vaginal sex and anal sex.
Me and my girlfriend mainly use this lube for vaginal sex but occasionally for anal. As a lubricant it is very effective and has just the right consistency and texture that you would expect. It is not a necessary item to have enjoyable sex, but it certainly improves the sensation for both parties and makes it much more enjoyable. Since Durex is the main brand for lubricants and condoms, it is a brand that I trust and I would not feel comfortable purchasing a lube of a different brand. Durex lubes for me are consistently good and I would not even consider changing to a different brand.
My girlfriend and I do enjoy this particular lube as it enhances the sensation and also makes certain sexual acts much easier, however we generally prefer a more exciting variety of lube when we are having normal sex. My girlfriend prefers the tingle variety, although the tingle aspect is lost on me and for oral sex we prefer the flavoured varieties. However, Durex Play Feel is still a very effective lubricant and it washes out easily if you get it on clothes or bedsheets. The pump bottle system is also a very good idea as it means you can get just the right amount of lube out without accidentally using too much.
Although there are more exciting and interesting lube varieties on the market, I would certainly recommend this one for couples who are using lube for the first time.

I've written reviews on sexual lubricants in the past, but decided I should probably review one of the most basic. Durex Play Lubricant has no added flavourings or sensations to heighten excitement, this lubricant is simply there to make sexual intercourse easier and more comfortable. Most people have a bit of a close mind about lubricants, thinking that they should only be used for women going through vaginal dryness due to the menopause, but lubricants ease the slight discomfort that can arise if your partner has a slightly larger than average penis. Lets just say that I'm no where near the age of menopause...
The lubricant comes in a very sleek looking bottle. Durex have recently changed their packaging and whilst the bottle is still in the same blue colour scheme as before, we now have a much more attractive bottle. It is roughly 6 inches in height and slightly curves in at the middle, giving the bottle a waistline. The pump is now covered by a clear lid, which was always something I'd wanted with the previous bottle design. The label gives you all of the essential information, and tells you that you can find any other necessary information online at www.durex.com.
The lubricant is water based (I think we all know what can happen when oil based lubricants come into contact with a condom, and it isn't pretty!) and is suitable for oral, vaginal and anal use. You are warned that the lubricant contains no spermicide and therefore will not be suitable for use as any form of contraceptive, but I think most people know that anyway!
The lubricant itself can easily be pumped out of the tube, and luckily my boyfriend and I have had no issues the with pump not working ever since Durex changed the bottle design. If you've read my previous lubricant reviews, then you'll know the pump was a bit hit or miss, but they seem to have sorted that one out now! The pump will release a clear, water based gel. Be careful when you use the pump though, as you may end up with a little bit too much product!
The gel has no scent whatsoever, but feels slightly sticky. The packaging does say that this isn't a sticky product, so that was a bit of a let down, but we carried on anyway.
We've used this product for both vaginal and oral sex. I will warn you now, you absolutely do not want to get this lubricant in your mouth. The taste can only be described as strong chemicals, and it even started to irritate my mouth - mood killer or what?!
For vaginal sex, it was a great product to use. We couldn't detect any stickiness and it made everything that little bit more comfortable. There isn't really much to write home about with this - actually, maybe I shouldn't use that phrase, I certainly wouldn't be telling anyone at home about lubricants and sexcapades! - as there are no added frills, but for someone who is just looking to use a lubricant that will make sex a little easier, then this is a great one. I mentioned earlier that there was a slight stickiness when pumped out, but none during sexual intercourse. We also found that there was no stickiness afterwards either, but it's always good to clean up anyway!
I've experienced no discomfort with this lubricant (minus the irritation in my mouth), and will continue to use it, but we probably won't repurchase it as we much prefer the Tingle variety.
Durex lubricants can be purchased in 50ml for £4 at Boots, and can also be found in Ann Summers and most supermarkets. Why not pick a bottle up next time you're out doing your weekly shop? ;)
- can ease the discomfort of sex due to a larger penis/smaller vagina
- added lubrication for those who suffer with vaginal dryness
- readily available
- a trusted brand
- bloody awful taste, if there's anything to put you off of oral sex, it's this!
I'll give this lubricant 4 Dooyoo stars as the taste was a bit off putting. I would have removed another star for the fact that it is such a boring, simple product, but that wouldn't be fair as it is marketed as a no frills kind of lubricant anyway.
Thank you for reading :)
We were shopping in Sainsbury's & saw the Durex Play range along the vitamins aisle. They were on Buy One Get One Free offer so we decided to treat ourselves to all of them, just for a bit of fun & curiosity & to keep things spicy & exciting.
The product comes in a 50ml opaque bottle (covered with a blue label) with a pump lid.
On bottom of bottle is states Made in Thailand & shows the expiry date.
On one side of the bottle is the name of the Product - durex play FEEL light silky lube & the amount contained (ours is 50ml).
On the other side is the description - smooth a little lube onto any erogenous zone and your partner's touch will immediately feel far more sensual & intense.
How to use - Twist pump to open, Smooth a small amount wherever you like & reapply as often as you need..
Play tingle personal lubricant is ideal for use with Durex condoms & can be applied to the condom when it is already on. However it is not a contraception & does not contain spermicide.
Avoid contact with eyes. This product may cause irritation, warming/burning or itching in either partner. If this occurs or if additional lubricant is needed all the time, discontinue use, and if symptoms persist consult your doctor.
Store at room temperature, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Use within 3 months of opening.
Have you explored the other play products? Why not experiment with Feel or Heat for added enhancement?
Safe to use with condoms.
Use & experiences
The bottle says on the back label 'Why not experiment with Feel or Heat for added enhancement?' I presume this could mean trying all products together perhaps on different parts at the same time. There a re various offers online for buying a pack of three kinds from £11.99 ebay.
The play FEELlubricant we are talking about here is £3.99 at Love Honey or £5.99 for the 100ml size but cheaper at supermarkets and as we found often on BOGOF, so you could perhaps get 4 bottles for around £6 max! There is also the added bonus that you don't actually have to ask for it, just pop it in your trolley & it probably doesn't even get noticed when you pay for it amongst your groceries!
It is suitable for both sexes to use
Safe to use with condoms
The top was awkward to open (when new there was a plastic seal that needed to be ripped off first) & if you are not careful could ruin the mood the same as having to stop to put a condom on.
When you have finished, it is difficult to seal the pump lid so that no lube escapes the bottle. I keep it in a plastic bag with the others in case of spills if it tips or is knocked over & the bottle & bag are always greasy/wet.
Water based so easy to wash off your body or your sheets or towels. Be careful when applying as it comes out of the bottle thinner than you expect & could run everywhere! It claims to be non greasy & non sticky, but you still feel like a good shower afterwards.
As an all over massage it was pleasant & a nice feel , with a light fresh smell . As a lubricant it was OK but one lubricant is much like another.
it is a nice silky lubricant for this purpose. Alternatively we have durex play 2 in 1 massage lubricant which comes in a 200ml bottle & works out a much cheaper alternative.
As a lubricant for intimate purposes rather than for body massage , you might just as well use KY Jelly or the cheaper Boots own make alternative.
For the purpose of this review I have just shaken the bottle well & applied to the inside of my wrist. Five minutes later there is no effect whatsoever It's possible it may have gone over the 'use after 3 months of opening', but I wouldn't have thought that would make much difference. It is still within the use by date.
I guess either different people react in different ways to products on their skin or else the product varies from one batch to another. Either way it's not for us.
**Please note due to the nature of this product, there are some parts of this review that are a little detailed. I've tried to keep it tactful and to a minimum, but please be warned .
Durex is one of the leading brands of condoms, so when a change of contraception led to me needing to use a lubricant, I knew Durex was a brand name I could trust, and decided to go to my local supermarket to pick up some Durex lubricant.
They had various options - including one that apparently was designed to make your bits tingle- but I opted for Durex play feel, a pretty standard plain lubricant, which came in a pump action bottle which has a lock and unlock action. I'm sure all you wise people already know that oil based lubricants such as Vaseline and such are unsuitable for use with condoms as they weaken latex, so you'll be happy to know that Durex lube is water based, making it ideal for use with latex condoms, and with 'toys' with a latex outer coating. This lubricant does not have any spermicidal qualities though, which may be an issue for some people .
Using the pump action bottle is easy, as is locking and unlocking it . I'm happy that only a modest amount comes out per pump, and that the lubricants itself has quite a thick gel-like consistency before rubbing in . This makes it easy to apply this without mess to the areas where it is needed. I have used other lubricants in the past that have had a much thinner more liquid consistency, and that has resulted in some mess .
The lubricant works well, allowing for easy and comfortable activity, although I do find it perhaps dries a little faster than other brands I have tried (Liquid Silk, for example) . This is not too much of an issue during vaginal intercourse, as after a while self lubrication kicks in . However, if utilising other holes which are unable to self lubricate, I do find a break is often needed to reapply as it can become a little uncomfortable.
Overall, I think this is a good lubricant, but not great, as it does seem to dry up rather quickly . I'll still use this for toy use, but I think that for intercourse I would prefer something with a longer lasting lubrication.
3 stars .
Not being one for consumer fidelity, I must admit, there is something about other brands when it comes to this sort of thing that I don't quite trust. Maybe its the fact that their boxes look less professional, or perhaps their lower prices don't exactly fill me with confidence. Because of this, I have used Durex most of the time and I find that psychologically, i trust it more.
So naturally, when it came to lube, I thought i'd give it a go and see what I felt about their lubes. I've used other brands of lube including KY and Mates, but none come in such sleek and suave packaging. There is nothing more emabaressing than whipping out some lube in the bedroom and for it to look more at home in an andy warhol scene. When it comes to Durex lube tho, you'll have people swooning head over feet for you.
The actual lube itself lasts quite a long time, and I would definitely recommend it to anybody. Unless it really is breaking the bank, go for it every time!
My girlfriend have really never had the need to use lube but we saw some on special sale for only about £2.
There is not too much to say about the lube. It does the job well. The lube itself is very smooth and silky but without being too sticky which was good.
The lube is safe to have contact with the mouth however I would recommend a flavoured lube instead, which Durex also have a range of various flavours.
There lube does not last very long and will often need topping up depending on how much you want.
The bottle is very easy to use with a big pump that allows you to access the lube. Its useful as when your hands are slippery the pump works well as you don't need to unscrew or do anything difficult.
The lube comes off very easily with a shower or just some warm water.
To be honest the lube was good however I don't feel I will be making a regular habit of buying it. Whilst it was a bit of a change it wasn't that good to make me want to buy it again.
I've never really used lubes before, partly because I don't really need them, and partly because the idea to me just seemed like adding more messiness. However, when I spotted the Durex Play range on a half price offer a few months back I decided to give them a go and snapped up 3 different types for £2 each.
This was the first one I tried as it's basically just a 'normal' lubricant with nothing extra added to it. It comes in a rather nice looking bottle with a press top dispenser at the top. I found with all 3 of the lubes that I bought, all with the same bottle just in different colours, it was really difficult to unlock the dispenser so that I could start using it. All you have to do is twist the top of the bottle to unlock it, but for some reason they just refused to come open for ages and I actually quite hurt my hands trying to do it.
After eventually getting the dispenser unlocked it's really easy to use. One press of the top gives you a nice amount of the lube for what I would call 'general use'. Obviously if you want to cover a larger area then more lube will be required.
The lube is quite thin in texture, but without being runny. It has a lovely silky smooth feel to it and is not sticky, thick or greasy feeling. It glides onto and over skin, or whatever else you may decide to apply it to, and doesn't drip everywhere or make any kind of mess at all really. It's safe to use with condoms and is water-soluble so it washes off very easily with just a little water.
This lube does feel really nice and it gives plenty of lubrication, lasting well so that you don't need to keep reapplying it. It's a very light formulation so you don't really notice it on your skin once you've applied it. On the bottle it says that this lube should make your or your partners touch feel more sensual and intense, but I found it didn't make any difference at all in that sense. It provided a bit of extra lubrication but that's as far as any benefits went.
We've used this a few times now and whilst I and my partner both like the feel of it and the fact that it isn't messy, we both agree that it doesn't really do anything to heighten the pleasure, so we won't be buying it again.
Thought I would review this product without the need to go into sexual references or tittle tattle despite the tendency of others to do so when reviewing anything to do with sex after all it is hardly a secret that people have sex and sometimes I find a lube can help increase mine and my partners enjoyment.
This is a water based lube and as such is also water soluble and it does not act in anyway as a contraceptive as it is not a spermicide although why anyone would rely on one that was is beyond me. When I first used this I thought it would be too runny and weak to be very effective but I was soon proven wrong as it was a very effective and long lasting lube that worked really well.
It is sold in Boots and retails for about £3.35 which is not too bad in terms of comparison with other lubes and as it is backed by the Durex name you know it is a brand you can trust.
It operates through a pump action dispenser that delivers a small amount of lube with each cmpression so you can use just the right amount. It does not have any discernable odour which is a good thing and it is not at all sticky either, it is just a good effective lube.
I've used a variety of different lubes, this one I must say is one of the better ones.
(Right now it is on offer at Morrisons at half price, along with other contraceptive brands)
The lube is light and doesn't dry out as quickly as many other water based products and does not leave a sticky residue thankfully (unlike KY jelly).
It's handy bottle size and pump action dispenser is much better than the toothpaste like tubes of other brands. It's practical and can be fitted easily into a pocket or bag, albeit you can get Durex Play Feel in handy little sachets, but they can be messy and tricky to get into in the heat of the moment, and more often than not, they supply you with far too much. The bottle is much more practical.
The lube also lasts a fair while, so you don't have to stop and keep reapplying all the time. And because it's water based, it's safe to use with condoms, and washes off easily.
Have fun ;)
I've mainly used Durex condoms in my life and so when I decided I wanted to buy a lubricant they were the brand I went to. Unfortunately, I was grossly disappointed.
The lubricant is not very slippery so you have to use quite large quantities of it, and then it tends to dry out after just a couple of minutes so you need to reapply. If you read my review for Pasante TLC lube you will see that this is a problem with water-based lubes and you would be better off trying a silicone-based variety (unlike oil-based lubricant, silicone-based is still condom safe) as they are much smoother and they don't dry out so easily.
I think these bottles are about £4 but that's for a really small bottle that gets used up fairly quickly as you need to use so much of it. So I would say it's really bad value for money - being expensive from the outset and then being used up quickly.
It might be worth experimenting with the Tingle or Heat varieties that Durex do (although they seem to have quite negative reviews on here) as I've tried Tingle condoms and they're quite good, but for a basic lubricant that you just want to lubricate, this is pretty useless.
Durex is one of the most common and well known brands of lubricant and condoms. Therefore it's probably the one that most people use, and - as the bog standard lubricant in the Durex line - 'Feel' might be the lubricant that most people try first. Perhaps this is also why the product is so unsensational - the company makes the sales targets purely through brand recognition and marketing and doesn't need to rely on having a great product.
So what is it?
As I said, it's an absolute, middle-of-the-road lubricant, not flavoured, not scented, not with any other claims to fame. It's also worth noting that it doesn't have any anti-spermicidal qualities. The lubricant comes in a hard plastic bottle with a pump action top. The spout is supposed to be able to turn into a lock position, but I find that this sometimes seems to get broken on some bottles and doesn't work. This is very annoying as you then can't transport it. However, when it works properly, the design of the bottle is quite good as you can leave it by the bed and reach out and operate it with one hand.
How does it perform?
The lubricant DOES work, don't get me wrong. Use a generous amount (about the size of two peas) on each person and you will have a good time. However. There ARE much better lubricants out there.
So, what makes Play Feel so average? While it does lubricate, the lubricating effects aren't as long lasting as other brands I find. No lubricant is going to last forever, but it does seem that Feel dries up quicker than others, which means you have to return for more, or do without, either way detrimental to the mood.
Any plus points? Well, the bottle design, when it works, is good. Other than that I could say that the gel-like texture is convenient - some other lubricants are more liquid in consistency and therefore messier. However, this lack of liquidity could be exactly the problem when it comes to the longevity of the product.
Overall, this isn't a bad lubricant, but there are certainly better ones out there. I would recommend looking online for some alternatives and just trying a few out to find your favourite.
I had some Boots vouchers spare, need some condoms and spotted Durex's Play range. I'm not a massive fan of lubes. They always seem to dry me up but my boyfriend said oooh lets get some so I relented. No clue why he picked the Feel bottle but he did. So in the basket, it went. Then lots of blushing at the till and off home.
It's buy one get one free on selected Durex items in Boots at the moment. No clue how long it will last. The vouchers paid for everything that day so technically it was free but if you're just buying it, it's £3.55 for a 50ml. It's also available in 100ml bottles. I've seen it in Boots for £5.55.
Other products in the Play range are Play Tingle, Heat, Sensations (a packet of different lubes testers so to say), 2 in 1 massage and Play Vibrators (only available in Superdrug).
The packaging is nice and plain though I would say that it's more male-orientated (since I wouldn't have picked that one). It doesn't massively stand out and by just glancing at it wouldn't think it was lube at all. The bottle has a light blue colour with white writing on it.
The design of the bottle is fairly simply. You twist the pump to open and press down as many times as you need to get the lube out. Then just twist the pump back, to lock it shut but if you're thinking about using it in the throws of passion leave it unlock as it's just off putting having to open it again, believe me.
Press the pump, a little bit of the lube squirted out. Do that until you have enough for your pleasure. It took us just two average pushes on the pump to get enough for both of us but when the bottle is half full a few more times of pressing is required.
The lube is colourless, doesn't smell and doesn't taste of anything. Though, it does have a chemical aftertaste. The bottle says 'light silky lube' and I do agree. The texture is almost like a hair gel when first put on your hands but it feels less sticky than hair gel would. It's cold to the touch but of course, it warms with use and the gel becomes more liquid. Almost, silky smooth. It's not one bit greasy and very easy to wash off yourself or any clothing it might come in contact with.
You can use Feel Play or any other Play products with condoms but it doesn't contain spermicides and it definitely not a contraceptive so make sure that you use other methods of contraception.
It says on the bottle that you have to use it in 3 months from opening. I don't know how true that is. Maybe it's because bacteria can grow in it or the product would less effective after a period of 3 months. The bottle must be kept at room temperature in a cool and dry place away from sunlight.
On the package, it says 'your partner's touch will immediately feel more far more sensual and intense but is this true?
In our case, no. It felt slippery when my boyfriend put on my erogenous zones but I ignored that and tried to stay in the mood. So I wait and wait for this sensual and intense sensation to come. It didn't for either of us but to be honest, it worked better for him than it did for me as he said that it felt nice. Still, it was quite disappointing for both of us consider when expected a little more from this product but maybe we were expecting too much but not only did it disappoint. It completely dried me up after 5 minutes, any pleasure and fun was put to one side. It kind of ruined the night. We have tried it on a couple of occasion like for massaging and found that it dried out too fast so maybe it's not just me but just product, drying everything out too fast.
Do I recommend it? No, I don't unless you get a free sample of it and can test it out for yourself. £3.55 is too much to spend on a lube that promises you a more sensual and intense feeling and delivers nothing but disappointment and dryness. Maybe I need more stimulation and should try Heat or Tingle in the Play range but I'll definitely never buy this again, free or not!
For more information about any of the Play range, vist their website http://www.discoverplay.co.uk
tried the tingle durex lubricant, ill tell u something everyone should try it,by yourself ,with a partner makes you tingle then gets warmer hightens all sexual feelings .must warn thought if you put to much on you ll have your bloke running for the cold water tap lol heat increases with friction
Smooth a little lube onto any erogenous zone and your partner's touch will immediately feel far more sensual and intense. Available in 50 or 100 ml bottles.
