      Amazing laptop

One of the few laptops that I'm happy with. This is a great laptop with super fast speed when function but surprisingly quiet. I wasn't expecting that to happen but the laptop is so quiet, which is rear among the same kind and price of the laptop. The keyboard is one of the best, it's coherent and very convenient. The bad side is that there's no build in webcam, and the display wasn't as good as I hoped. It's kind of heavy so I wouldn't suggest it to travelers and it's a bad idea to bring a with you when you are on the way. Especially when you are on a plane you can't afford to have something heavy. The HP Envy x2 is 256 GB, solid state storage. The display is find of disappointing because I watch quite a lot of videos and I wish they can be clear but not with this laptop. However I still love the design especially the metal bit and the detachable leather. The battery life is extremely long I can have it on fora out ten hours and I was amazed by that. I think this laptop is very reliable, better than all the others I have used. It didn't broke once and I would recommend it to students because of the speed and the efficiency. Overall this is a great laptop with good design and fast speed but a poor display but ok if you aren't watching too much videos and it will be fine, because everything is relatively clear.

      Great Laptop By HP

A great Laptop by HP. The design is part home appliance of the future and part Ultrabook. From the side, it looks like the bottom half of the HP Spectre 13 Ultrabook. This models have two USB 3.0 ports, full size HDMI, a 3.5mm combo audio port and a microSD card slot, similar to Ultrabooks. The black display bezel isn't particularly small, and the large speaker grilles on each side make for an even larger front face. You don't have to pay extra for the Keyboard with the Envy x2. We like the 13t keyboard design, but as you can guess, we think HP was just being downright weird with the 15t keyboard. The keyboard uses Bluetooth, so you can detach it and use it on your lap while the tablet sits on a desk. The back cover is removable and once inside you'd be able to service the battery, replace the SSD and access the wireless card. RAM seems to be soldered on.
This machine isn't as fast as Surface Pro 3 with a Core i5, and even the HP's 8 gigs of RAM vs. 4 on our Pro 3 didn't help. HP went with a relatively small 33 WHr 2 cell battery, and therein lies the culprit. If you want a convertible that literally stands on its own as a tablet and have a hankering for standard laptop screen sizes, the HP Envy x2 13t and 15t are worth a look. It's actually one of my favorite machines in this round-up.

      • "Good price"

      • "Good for moderate usage"
      • "Light weight"

      Disadvantages

      • "Windows 8.1 should be upgraded to Windows 10"

For the price as for everyday use, It's a nice decent laptop.

A descent laptop by HP. HP has grown a lot in last 4-5 years and the envy series is very nice when they come with Intel. For some reason I still couldn't find a stable AMD laptop to Suit my needs.

Comes with 4 GB ram and 128 GB HDD. Pretty fast as a Intel M series.

      Advantages

      • "quality product"

      Disadvantages

      Highly recommended.

start by spoken communication that I even have ne'er been a follower of H.P.. don't apprehend why, merely failed to like their merchandise.
      But...
For almost a year I even have been longing for an honest successor of my recent hollow. I had £700 budget.

After long analysis, gazing tens of laptop computers and an entire disaster with shopping for Asus last year I even have found this laptop.

I am pleased with this purchase. it's nice machine. Pleasure to seem at and to figure with.

      Good bits:
Great screen, sensible keyboard, cheap battery (with SSD HD), smart computing and graphics performance, amazingly moveable, smart bit pad, ( not from the start although, because it required plenty of tweaking)

      Not therefore smart bits:
Fan may be a bit screeching or really it stays on quite high revs for many of the time even after you do basic writing in Word. There was different bloatware from H.P., bit pad desires plenty of settings to be tweaked however I want i'm virtually there.

Other things, not sensible however i'm not discomposed extremely.
I saw plenty of individuals write positive comments regarding metal case. Well, i'm pretty positive it's painted plastic not metal. i'm not discomposed by this, however some individuals may well be thus i'm writing it .

Couple of belongings you would possibly wish to try to to .
Reinstall Windows while not all this nonsense that comes with OEM pre-installation, performance +200%. Get SSD HDD, +2h on battery.

      Overall.
Probably the simplest laptop computer beneath £700 I even have seen. I believe one in all the reviewers here - it's terribly sturdy middle category product

      Advantages

      • "good enough speakers"
      • "great screen"
      • "good price"
      • "good specs"

      Disadvantages

      • none

A simple laptop for a simple life

The one I had may be different specs to others, but I will give you the specs of mine.
It had an Intel Core Intel® CoreTM i3-330M Processor, 2.13 Ghz. A 500GB HDD with *GB of RAM, which, according to the specs, is the maximum for this one. A wireless-N card, a GeForce 310 GPU
It is about 38cm by about 25cm by under 4cm thick, weighing in at just over 2.5kg
It was running Windows 7, which I soon got the hang of after working with Vista and XP for a while. I am now on Windows 8.1 which, despite recent findings, is a nice little OS.
This one had the standard Disc tray, USB ports, built in speakers, ethernet port and more.
It is one of those laptops that is great for doing such things as studies or working, but it does lack in the gaming world.

The keys are nice to tap, being spread in such a way that I rarely hit the wrong key, you know, the one that's next to the key you intend to strike. This saves me a lot of time and effort as I don't have to keep deleting and retypobf.

The touch pad, below the keyboard is just right, having the scrolling function on the lower bit and the side bit. I did set it up to the way I like a touchpad and, once done, it gives me full control of moving the cursor, without any troubles at all.

The screen is great, with a clear picture, which means that watching DVD's or youtube clips, is very enjoyable indeed, and no trouble for my eyes.
The speakers aren't brilliant, but they're not the worst I've used. I did find that listening to music for a long periods whilst using the PC was not a problem at all.

The one I got, with the specs I mentioned, cost about £400, which is not too bad considering what came in it.

      Strong quality product

start by saying that I have never been a fan of HP. Do not know why, simply did not like their products.
      But...
For almost a year I have been looking for a decent successor of my old Dell. I had £700 budget.

After long research, looking at tens of laptops and a complete disaster with buying Asus last year I have found this laptop.

I am happy with this purchase. It is great machine. Pleasure to look at and to work with.

      Good bits:
Great screen, brilliant keyboard, reasonable battery (with SSD HD), good computing and graphics performance, surprisingly portable, good touch pad, ( not from the beginning though, as it needed a lot of tweaking)

      Not so good bits:
Fan is a bit noisy or actually it stays on quite high revs for most of the time even when you do basic writing in Word. There was loads of bloatware from HP, touch pad needs a lot of settings to be tweaked but I feel like I am almost there.

Other things, not brilliant but I am not bothered really.
I saw a lot of people write positive comments about aluminum case. Well, I am pretty sure it is painted plastic not aluminum. I am not bothered by this, but some people might be hence I am writing it .

Couple of things you might want to do .
Reinstall Windows without all this nonsense which comes with OEM pre-installation, performance +200%. Get SSD HDD, +2h on battery.

      Overall.
Probably the best laptop under £700 I have seen. I agree with one of the reviewers here - it is very strong mid class product .Highly recommended.

HP Envy x2 is the ultimate dream

I like modern man and a fan of all kinds of gadgets, enough to actively follow the latest developments of market, so try in everyday life not to apply IBM PC 1998, and to be in trend. That's why I chose the HP Envy x2. It is very stylish ultrabook. I take a few months, very happy with purchase. Tablet with detachable keyboard is not often seen. It runs on full Windows 8 and is suitable for all programs. The only negative is that there are very few games going. Akumulatora the battery lasts a very long time.
Initially, taking the device in hand, don't know how to use it, how to detach the top cover and try to touch input. In the assembled state of the HP ENVY x2 does not differ almost from classic ultrabooks: it's a thin book with a slightly protruding console hinge at the junction of the halves. This item includes the mounting protrusions and the disclosure is a kind of stand.
With a small opening angle of the device (about 100 degrees) and that's not enough for comfortable work in different conditions.
The dimensions of the HP ENVY x2 are average - in the bag is placed very simply, and in hand to be no less convenient. It weighs about 1.5 kilograms. The mixed materials of construction: the outer part, and the lower panel is metal and the inner plastic. With all this, the Assembly of the device pleasant: despite the variety of elements, some cracks and gaps no, there are no gaps, squeaks either.
In HP ENVY x2 used IPS-matrix with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels. Has led backlighting, colors are bright and vivid, viewing angles close to the maximum. Work with display do not cause problems as when the touch input, and when mounted on the docking station.
Also it has a camera for video calls surrounded by microphones and light sensors. On the other hand on the lid is a volume knob, power button and rear camera of 8 megapixels with flash.
      Great ultrabook. All the advice!
