      Disadvantages

A very good laptop, but I'm not sure about the price.

This laptop is very well designed, both Portege and Latitude are metal. It is also rigid. The laptop is also largely pressure resistant. On the left hand side there is a power socket, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, USB 3.0, and on the right is a combo audio, USB 3.0, DVD burner / multibay, USB 3.0, Kensington lock port. On the front is the memory card reader. I always find this annoying because when I started to use this laptop, I didn't realise that there's a card reader, but I desperately need on and checked on the User's manual, it's on the front bottom. Still a nasty place to put it because this caused so much frustration to me. The keyboard is so sensitive. I just have to lightly tap on the keyboard and it will work. Also the laptop is touch screen. I love the idea of touch screen and it is so conviente. The touch screen is normally sensitive except once, it just won't work so I have to turn the laptop off then on again, this is such a waste of time. The quality of the picture is very good and very clear, there's nothing to complain about the display. The general speed is very fast and I strongly recommend this to students and businessmen. The laptop couldn't be more conviente. I still feel that the laptop is a bit thick on the side which cause the weight to be a bit heavy. Overall, this is an amazing laptop but a bit expensive for the product.

      Advantages

      • "user-friendly optical tackpad"
      • "good keyboard"
      • lightweight

      Disadvantages

      • "graphics are not great"
      • "small screen size"

Great laptop with easy typing and easy browsing

The … laptop has a simple sleek look, is light, has a great screen, very easy to set-up (even for a non-computer whizz such as myself), and overall is very user-friendly. The … is cheap and a bit bland-looking, but its powered by a class Intel processor, with a high-resolution screen so you can see clearly .The Battery time is great, and it has an on-screen reminder of when to plug it in for charging or to plug out the battery when full charge is reached. I would say this laptop would be perfect for someone who mainly needs it for browsing the internet, watching movies or playing games, or simply office work. The … feels solid, and packs a nice keyboard and a fair amount of battery life (up to 6 hours). You will obviously need Wi-Fi connection; the Laptop runs a Microsoft browser-based Windows OS, and while the operating system has come a long way your options are still limited once you're disconnected.
The … is based on the cheaper end of the spectrum. It is made out of plastic and weighs at a total of 1.2kg, which is not bad for a laptop; its definitely not heavy in my hands or when carrying it in a bag, so very good. You could say the laptop is stylish too: there's a shiny little finish bordering the track pad, and the keyboard buttons are arrange in a modern style to give you that eccentric look and feel when using the laptop

      Fujitsu Lifebook S904 Review

      Enduring.
Fujitsu wants to lure mobile computer workers into buying its new 13.3-inch Lifebook S904 laptop. In addition to a low weight, the computer features an IGZO-WQHD screen, a docking port, and a 3G/LTE module. Beyond that, the company also promises a battery runtime of up to 24 hours and includes a three-year warranty. Sounds too good to be true?
The company Fujitsu breaks down its laptops into the categories All-Round, Advanced, and Superior on their German website. The Lifebook S904 belongs to the latter category. The Superior category is touted with the words "Ultimate Computing for Individual Needs." Fujitsu sets high standards with that. A look at the S904's specifications shows that Fujitsu is in fact generous and not at all stingy: A very high-resolution screen, 3G/LTE modem, modular bay, docking port. Our report will reveal whether the Lifebook is just as convincing in real life as it is on paper.

      Case

The choice of materials and colors already indicate that the Lifebook S904 is intended for the corporate field. The base unit's upper side and the lid's back are comprised of metal. While the lid is black, the base unit's upper side gleams in bright silver. Of course, no glossy or reflective surfaces are used - with exception of the display.

      Connectivity

Despite the Lifebook's compact size, Fujitsu installs all interfaces expected in a laptop nowadays.Instead of a VGA out, Dell installs a mini-DisplayPort. All three laptops sport a docking port so that the variety of interfaces can be expanded. The Lifebook is the only laptop among the comparison devices that has a modular bay. The bay in our review sample was furnished with a DVD burner, but it can also be fitted with an additional battery or a second hard drive.

      Communication

The Lifebook has an ample supply of connection options. The Wi-Fi module from Intel supports the 802.11 a/b/g/n standards. We did not experience connection issues. The connection remained stable in a radius of 15 meters around the router. This is, however, not a standardized test. Strangely, the Wi-Fi module was disabled every time we rebooted the laptop, and it had to be switched on manually. The Wi-Fi module also sports a Bluetooth 4.0 chip from Intel. The Gigabit Ethernet chip also comes from Intel. Fujitsu equips the Lifebook with an LTE module (Sierra Wireless EM7305) for connecting with the Internet on the go.

      Security

As is appropriate for a business laptop, Fujitsu installs various security features in the Lifebook. In addition to the Kensington lock slot for physically securing the laptop, a Trusted Platform Module (1.2) is available. The fingerprint reader enables biometric access control. Alternatively, access control is possible via a SmartCard.

      Operating System & Accessories

The operating system on our review sample was Windows 8.1. The laptop comes with a Windows DVD and driver DVD. Beyond that, a quick-start poster and warranty information are found in the box.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Fast, great battery life, value for money.

After a lot of research, I finally opted for this great laptop. I do not really need much of the security features that vPro provides or the even the 12GB memory, but there are a few cool and very versatile features of this machine, that to my mind at least, make it a very good investment.
Firstly the build quality is faultless. From the screen to the backlit keyboard, to the solid metal chassis and the supplied accessories, you just get a feeling that you have bought one of the best that money can buy.
I was actually very surprised to find the extra battery and the port replicator in the box (it was almost small print in the spec sheet in the listing on the shop I bought it from). If I had realised this sooner, then it would have even been more of a 'no brainer'.

But the best thing by far for this machine is it's realistic 14 to 18 hour battery life (This is the actual time with screen brightness set to three notches from full. Maybe it is possible to get Fujitsu's touted 24hrs...who knows). No laptop that I know of even comes close, and that includes Apple.
The next best thing is the modular system. The laptop is supplied with a multi CD reader/writer as well as the extra battery, but I will be adding the HD caddy so I can expand the 256 SSD by an extra 512GB. Now if that is not a 'killer app' then I do not know what is.

OK, the speakers are as good as to expect form a 13.3 notebook, i.e. rubbish...but at least the sound is good through headphones.

It is also a bit expensive, but considering the quality, supplied accessories and built in power out of the box, this machine to my mind is very good value for money.

The best IT related product(and most expensive) I have ever bought and I could not be more satisfied!

it's fast and good value for money

It's no huge shock that Fujitsu is offering the Ultrabook with Windows 7 pre-installed. Windows 8 reaches a two-year milestone in October 2014, but the OS and its tile-based interface is still struggling to find favour with many businesses and consumers alike who are clamoring for the traditional desktop experience of old.

According to NetApplications, Windows 8.1's market share sat at 4.3% in March, while Windows 8's fell to 6.38%. To put that into perspective, Windows XP reached Microsoft's end-of-support date on April 8 with 27% market share, while Windows 7 stood firm at almost 30%.

That said, it's possible that a turnaround is on the cards. The recent arrival of Windows 8.1 Update 1 means that those who opt for the Lifebook U904 with Windows 8.1 pre-installed will at least have the option of applying the update, which introduces a bunch of features designed to make life easier for keyboard and mouse users.

This stunning trying laptop computer is incredibly high-ticket at £1,144.99 however it offers a good vary of options that makes your pc life most easier. I pay most of my time on my pc and this can be the most effective laptop computer i've brought in a very durable, though it had been high-ticket it had been unnoted by it's unimaginable specs and additionally it's brilliant style. The laptop computer itself is surpass quad core intel I7 processor that makes it run applications at a speed of two.1GHZ and then it will just about handle any scenario with none hesitation. It additionally has the capability for a 512GB storage system which implies that you just square measure unlikely to run out of area at any time presently. The life book is also equipped with an extended lasting battery life from it's metallic element battery that runs in set with the systems intercooler and then this prevents heating particularly once enjoying hardcore games which might place the laptop computer underneath stress inflicting heating however not during this case. what is more the keyboard is made to face the check of your time and with it's new sleek look you will not need to require your eyes of it. I found that my life book was strong with a solid aluminum structure with an honest sized trackpad designed into it that was fast and responsive not like my alternative antecedently in hand laptops. The keyboard comes with backlighting and additionally the screen's resolution is prior to it is time with a crisp and clear screen resolution. even supposing this laptop computer is incredibly high-ticket, i say it's 100 percent worthwhile and that i extremely doubt you will find anything like it…I love It!!!

      Advantages

      • "Wide range of programs"
      • "Very fast running"
      • "A sleek and beautiful laptop"

      Disadvantages

      • "Too expensive to be widely used"

A very expensive laptop that scores points for ease of use and design

One of the many laptops I use in my work capacity, the Fujitsu Lifebook S904 ticks all the boxes in terms of spec and ease of use.

Screen size is a decent 13.5" and the 12GB memory is more than I need at work, the high £1200 cost leads the consumer to believe it is a more high spec model than it really is and although the specs are there and it's a good machine to use I wouldn't pay the RRP because it is still only a laptop that does laptop things just a bit quicker than most.

The keyboard layout is as to be expected and it's a joy to type on, while on the internet connection is fast and seamless with pages being loaded instantaneously in most instances. With a quality pop up blocker, firewall and antivirus protection there is no reason why your Lifebook should ever become infected by any web problems.

Battery life is an average of 19 hours with more or less constant use, Fujitsu say this should be 24 hours but I have been unable to get to that length of time during my use.

Using documents and spreadsheets is good, Lifebook has a good range as standard and there are numerous add ons that can be purchased at an inflated cost compared to other developers. There are more pre installed programs than I will ever need to use and far more options on the spreadsheet programs than required but it's better to have the options there in case of need rather than them not be there at all.

In looks this laptop is a beauty with sleek lines, lighting to the keyboard and a very slim build for ease of portability and a beautiful networking experience.

      It is great laptop

The beautiful dual tone Fujitsu LifeBook S904 looks good and brings serious computing power. It weighs about 1.5 kg, the display lid is made from magnesium alloy and the device comes with either black/silver or red/silver. There are a few models with the Intel Core i7-4600U quad core processor clocked at 2.1 GHz being top of the line. Users can opt for a combination of 12 GB DDR3L 1600MHz RAM and a SATA3 512GB SSD for some serious power. On board is an Intel HD 4400 graphics chip and a 13.3 inch LED backlit WQHD Anti-glare IGZO display which comes with optional touchscreen capability. The Lifebook has only three USB ports, but they're all USB3. There's a Gigabit Ethernet port and the usual 3.5mm headset port. 1.5 kg: This sub-notebook weighs less than the average of all notebooks and represents a medium class of weight among the sub-notebooks. 11 inch displays are normal for this class of weight.

Too pricey for what you pay for

I bought the Fujitsu lifebook from university as it was one of the few that was available. I thought it looked great and would be extremely practical to do my work on. However I didnt have much knowledge on laptops until I started working with them a couple of months later.
The Fujitsu lifebook I had purchased, within the first week I noticed it wasn't as fast as other laptops I had worked with in the past. The keypad was a touch type which made it easy to type but used to stick. Also caught a virus quite easily which I took back to my university store to sort out and they rebooted the lifebook from which I ended up losing my work. wasn't a reliable laptop and after a month or 2 I stopped using it and bought the MacBook pro which I am in love with.

Great design, powerful and amazing battery life

Since I urgently needed a professional business laptop to work on for my company, I decided to go for Fujitsu Lifebook S904.
What attracted me the most about this laptop was its design. The base and lid are made of a matte black plastic (feels solid), the keyboard and palm rest are coated in a metallic silver aluminium. Overall the laptop is quite slim, which is very positive. Gone are hopefully the times with heavy and thick laptops.
It has a highly attractive 13.3-inch display with a sensible resolution and great viewing angles. It is as well very satisfying for watching movies. My friend tried to play his sport games on the laptop and was impressed by the quality of the display as well.
The great part of this laptop is the amazing battery life. The manufacturer claim it can last up to 24 hours. I gave it a hard test with my office work and it lasted about 19,5 hours in total. A week later a did the same test with my friend - we were watching movies and he was playing his games - and the battery lasted about 15 hours. That is actually really impressive! And if you want to carry on charger when you are on the way, the Fujitsu S904's back panel can be removed allowing you to insert a spare battery. Its so simply and saves a lot stress if you forget to take your charger on a few days business trip.
The operation system Windows 8.1 is a necessity for my office, I am very pleased with that.
This laptop was definitely a good choice for me.
