      Expensive for what you get

Price was an issue but I needed it for university due to a program that was needed only ran on MACOS, the lapto boots up really fast and the battery lasts a long time but the price was an issue. Nothing has gone wrong with it so far but the support to get it fixed is limited and the fact that it is again expensive is hard for students.

Everything just looks sleek. Wonderful laptop to work on

What a great device! Always a windows pc, but now switched to an apple. Everything just looks sleek. To everything there is a reason why it is so is made. Wonderful laptop to work on. Thanks to the quick boot is ideal for on the go in the train a bit on typing and browsing. I switched after years of Windows. Very good product, the only thing I regret is the small storage space. The Macbook pro is one of the more expensive ultrabooks on the market, but it is also one of the nicer ultrabooks. In terms of performance, it shall also, be sure not to disappoint. Good laptop with nice aluminum casing. Very fast and beautiful screen. The Macbook Pro 13' is an excellent laptop with very good build quality, specifications that are ok but minus the high price. The apple ecosystem is for the fans to be a strong asset! It was to get used to the switch from Windows to Mac OS X, but it actually works very nice. This machine offers the end user a very neat configuration for most applications. (Word processing, Virtualization on a small scale, and photo and video editing) A very good laptop! MacOS is, in principle, to be rather cumbersome, even if you of Linux is coming, and is limited at certain points. For individuals is comprehensive, and easy! Beautiful-looking. The question is not whether this product is good or not. Because it is good. The question is whether or not the product is its high price is worth. Perfect for my study, but the aluminum is very against. I am very careful, but there is a dimple at the top of the housing and there is already quite a bit of the magsafe connector broken off.

The laptop that saves your time.

This laptop has a beautiful design and looks very pretty. The speed is basically perfect. I have used this for at least two years and the speed didn't even change a bit. But I thought this laptop was rather weight, at least heavier than I thought so I still prefer Mac book air because it's a lot lighter. But this laptop is still quite light compare to many others. I'm a bit annoyed that there isn't a DVD/CD slot. So I can't watch movie or anything. The graphic is amazing and this is suitable for industrial use such as music making and movie making. The texture of this laptop is amazing, the outside is made out of metals and the base is extremely firm. The sound system is brilliant, if you need a laptop with a good sound and display quality, then this laptop is made for you. I personally do not need HD display or higher quality sound but when I watch a video can see the clear difference between this one and the other laptops. But I have already got used to Windows and it took me quite a well to get use to iOS. This is one of the best investment I have made. The battery life is very long, I once left it on for a whole day without realising it, and in the evening when I look, it still has got 12% battery left and I was so impressed. Overall this laptop is going to be one of you best investment and there are pretty much no downside to this laptop. It's very reliable it never broke once and I have been using it for over two years now.

      • "7 cm 128GB"
      • "Apple MacBook Pro 13" i5 33"

      Disadvantages

      Good

I have plenty more to say about that. This time around, though, Apple also traded in its already-best-in-class trackpad for a new, pressure-sensitive one. While it's almost as comfortable to use as its predecessor, we're not convinced these new touchpad tricks were worth making the switch. That said, the 13-inch Retina MBP remains one of the few laptops of this size that offers such long battery life and this kind ofgraphics clout.

If you already own a recent MacBook Pro, or have even futzed around an Apple Store, then you know what to expect here. The new MBP, like so many before it, is constructed from a seamless block of machined aluminum, with springy, well-spaced keys and a crisp 2,560 x 1,600 display, framed by a thin, barely there bezel. As before, the machine measures a slim 0.71 inch thick, though Apple is listing the weight as slightly heavier this time around: 3.48 pounds, as opposed to 3.46. Big whoop.

Around the edges, you get the same selection of ports: two USB 3.0 connections, a full-sized HDMI socket, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, an SD card slot and a headphone jack. Nope, no USB Type-C ports like on the new MacBook -- at least not this time around.

Oh, and the aluminum lid and chassis are still scratch-prone. With that, I am done talking about the MacBook Pro's hardware.

Except for the new trackpad, of course. For starters: What a risky thing for Apple to do, replacing the touchpad that's already the best in its class. Reviewers like it; users seem to like it. So what's the problem? If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Right. Except for the fact that the Force Touch pad can do things the Mac regular trackpad can't. I already gave the example of pressing down on the skip keys in QuickTime to rewind or fast-forward at 60x speed. But there are other use cases: You can use the "Force Click" in Safari to get Wikipedia previews and word definitions. You can annotate in Mail and Preview. Speaking of Mail, you can Force Click on an address and see it in a pop-up map. You can also use it in Finder to preview files. And those are just built-in Mac apps; developers can build this feature into third-party apps as well.

      Before I get into the utility of all this, though, allow me to take a step back and explain how this thing works. Though it's about as spacious as the one on the old model, the new Force Touch pad does away with the old-school "diving board" -- the hinge mechanism that makes it easier to press down on the bottom portion of a touchpad than on the top. In fact, the trackpad here doesn't have any buttons;

      Great Laptop By Apple

Great Product from Apple. As expected, the system moves to Intel's fifth-generation Core i-series chips. The performance jump from this is small, but the battery life gets a modest boost, and Apple's soldered-in flash memory, similar to the solid-state drives (SSDs) found in other laptops, gets a speed boost as well. In the 13-inch Pro, it's more of a party trick, and aside from some contextual pop-ups offered when you press down hard, you may not even notice the difference. It combines uncompromised processing power, great battery life and a top-drawer screen in a body that’s genuinely portable. It weighs just 1.58kg – a shade over 200g heavier than the MacBook Air – and is 18mm thick. It’s not wafer thin by modern standards, but it has a smaller footprint than a MacBook Air. You can choose between three different click strengths – light, medium and heavy. Over 15 hours of battery life, even with a Core i5 processor. Light and portable. Less expensive than previous iteration. The island-style keyboard is the same as seen on the last several generations of MacBook. The Retina Display is one of the main reasons you might choose a MacBook Pro over the lower-resolution MacBook Air models.

Apple has kept this system feeling much more up-to-date than the Air. I can see the 13-inch Pro moving into the lead position in Apple's lineup for anyone who needs to combine long battery life. It's actually one of my favorite machines in this round-up. It is best laptop by Apple.

Great machine that i only can recommend.

I brought my macbook pro for almost 3 years ago, and it's still working as the day i took it out of the box. I can only recommend this laptop, it's really easy to use, you don't have to be a tech expert to operate it and it's many features.

The macbook pro has an storage on 128gb that in my opinion is a bit low. I only use this laptop for school, and using this for school is the best machine you could have ( in my opinion ). The macbook is really thin (1,8 cm) so it's easy to put in your bag, however is it a bit heavy ( 1,58 kg ) compared to other similar laptops on the market, but it's not something i go around thinking about when i'm walking with it.

The screen is a retina (ca. 2780*1660 pixels) display with high resolution, and some beautiful colours that is shown whenever you start the machine. Because of the big resolution the battery time is shortened a bit, but it's nothing to worry about, a full charged battery last a whole day with studies and lecturing.

One of the main disadvantage is the price. The price for a new Macbook pro 13'' lies around 1000 pound. Because you are buying a apple product you are mainly paying for the brand. It is possible to find cheaper computers with the same features. But if you do have the money, and you are in the market for a new laptop that you can bring everywhere, this is the computer

I hope my review was useful for you

      apple you are the best

I've had some experience with MacBooks throughout my life. I've come to respect them as workhorses that can withstand the test of time. My wife retired her early 2008 Macbook last summer after completing her Nursing degree. The Notebook endured five years of continuous research, word processing and social networking. Outside of a small crack near the mousepad it still worked great. There was one point I needed to replace the ram, and I also updated it with an SSD to give it a needed speed boost. However these types of upgrades were very easy and not time consuming, and never needed an Apple genius to complete them. Seeing a piece of technology like that Macbook still cruising after what is a long time in the technology world is impressive, and that same type of design philosophy carries over to the new Macbook Pros with Retina Display but with some new tradeoffs...

A lot is different about this beast than the 2008 standard Macbook. A heavy plastic body that housed a removable battery, hard drive, ram and an optical drive is replaced with an aluminum anybody design where nothing is intended to be removable. In order to deliver a thin machine with a long lasting battery, Apple also removed the optical drive. In 2008 this would have been crazy, but in 2014 it's a generally accepted drawback. Clearly this new Macbook is a sign of a new generation of technology intended to be maintained solely by the company that sells the product. Apple wants to be your one stop shop from the point of sale to the day you retire the machine. It makes sense, since we do that with phones and tablets. But this will alienate self reliant users who want to save a buck or two. Certainly glued battery, ram modules are enough to turn a few away. I don't suspect this a big tradeoff for most non-techie buyers (That's most of us).

College students needing a machine for school will also need accept that most MacBooks are not gaming machines. So save some extra pennies for a PS4. Budget gaming laptops are cheaply made monstrosities that destroy batteries regardless if you're playing a game or not. And the expensive ones are generally overpriced for what you get, and still provide a poor computing experience.

If those two tradeoffs haven't turned you away, you probably won't find a better notebook at this price point. Just be careful in the specs you decide on because the option to upgrade is off the table. Here are some killer features:

The Retina display is beautiful. The viewing angles are tremendous and the screen is bright. The panel provides the same pixel density as the iPad with Retina Display (and the Air model), but the panel in the Macbook Pro with Retina is far superior in every way when comparing side by side.

The battery life on this device pushes north of 10 hours with web browsing and other basic uses (usually around 12). Watching video and more intense activities will push it at around 8 - 10 hours with average brightness. Most users who claim more excessive battery drain should be using the built in activity monitor application to check energy consumption of apps. Many Macbook users claim significant battery drain with applications like Google Chrome . It's a much different mindset than those who use a standard Mac and energy consumption really isn't a factor. In short, Macbook Pro users should be mindful of programs they use regularly.

The speed. The new refreshed model comes with 8gb of memory as a base. Most will consider 4gb enough memory for average users, but a week with the new OSX Yosemite beta revealed swap being used as I was exceeding my 4gb on the Mac Mini. This could just be inefficiencies in a beta product, but it did open my eyes to the fact that 8gb should be the new standard for most long term Macbook purchases. The largest part of what makes the Macbook Pro with Retina fly is the SSD built into the machine. The Macbook Pro with Retina Display is easily the fastest laptop i've ever used, and i'll thanking the SSD for most of that performance, but I suspect this machine will stay speedy for a long time thanks to the ram upgrade.

Then there is all the small touches. Backlit keyboard, aluminum body, tight software/hardware integration, sturdy OSX that is resistant to malware, integration with iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Even if you don't integrate into Apple's iOS ecosystem, it does great in Google's too. Chromecast works 100% with MacBooks, Google Chrome (battery hog) + Google Apps is great, and of course Google Play works well. All of Google's services are mostly browser based, and that gives Apple users the best of both worlds.

I would also say that if someone is debating between the Macbook Air and the Pro with Retina, try to cough up the extra bills. The pro is only slightly thicker, has a slightly lesser battery life but sports a tremendous screen, beefy spec boost and a premium fit and finish. Definitely recommended.

      An excellent system overall

I have always been a great fan of Apple products and have been privileged to use a variety of their products including the Macbook series. There is no exemption for the Macbook pro 13 with retina which i just acquired recently and i can categorically tell you from my experience using this product that you cant regret ever buying it as it will satisfy most of your computing needs. To me, the Macbook Pro 13 with Retina is a more tangible, understandable product, for one thing, with positive and controversial traits.
There are more updates that feels late in coming to me with this product, as the first PC notebooks with Intel’s fifth-generation Core processors arrived some few months ago. On the other hand, the delay feels understandable, as no one seems particularly excited about its inclusion. i noticed the quoted battery life has improved just an hour, from nine to ten, and the new Core i5 processor, while certainly quicker and more efficient, .There are other subtle and important changes, however, a new Force Touch touchpad promises better tactile response and new interface options, and the integrated graphics chip was updated to Intel’s HD 6100, making the Pro 13 with Retina one of the few notebooks to offer Intel’s quickest fifth-generation integrated graphics solution as they are very few products that offers this when i checked . The presence of two USB 3.0 and two Thunderbolt jacks means up to four peripherals can be attached at a time, and there’s HDMI for an external display. Wireless connectivity, which includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, is also excellent. That’s good, because Ethernet is unavailable without an adapter :). With all these interesting specs, the macbook pro 13 with retina is a super fast laptop when used for general system computing and general system usage, it can be used for longed hours even when different software are being run simultaneously for a long period of time without any itch .The graphics cards present makes it a very good system for gamers and people with a flare for graphics as it suits there more than basic requirements. . it also have a slickly beautiful outward design and a catchy keyboard with spacious button layouts which makes touch tying easier.
However, i discovered when using it that it is not internet user friendly as it disconnects itself from the internet frequently and tends to gets hot when used for long hours and in the process generates a lot of heat that makes it sometimes uncomfortable to use. Also the price tag is a little bit on the high side but when i got sucked up into the tempo of the product, i discovered is my money well spent and never had any reason to regret ever buying it.

      Worth The Price!

The refreshed Retina display MacBook Pro brings faster performance and longer battery life, along with the same stunning screen and comfortable keyboard. This time around, though, Apple also traded in its already-best-in-class trackpad for a new, pressure-sensitive one. While it's almost as comfortable to use as its predecessor, we're not convinced these new touchpad tricks were worth making the switch. I did enjoy the super-fast fast-forwarding, though. For me, at least, that might be the best and most practical reason to have a pressure-sensitive trackpad. Even so, the Force Touch feels like just another nice-to-have feature; I don't mind that it's there, and I ultimately got used to it, but it's also not something I particularly needed. It's certainly not essential on the level of the Retina display, which basically spoiled the lower-resolution MacBook Air screen for me and many other users.

      Apple product great

I LOVE Apple MacBook's and have used several and closely-held several. thus my friend has this one and that i used it for two weeks whereas she was on vacation and that i conjointly visited a workshop at my native Apple workplace to be told concerning identical model however while not the membrane as i am unable to decide if i would like it or not and it's cheaper.

The Apple MacBook professional 13" i5 thirty three,7 cm 128GB with membrane show features a beautiful screen,
amazing graphics, long life battery, soft comfy keyboard and is even quicker that the model while not the membrane show.

It is made of machined Al that is contour, with bouncy, spaced keys and a crystal clear a pair of,560 x 1,600 show, framed by a skinny edge. As before, the machine measures solely zero.71 in. thick and also the weight is slightly heavier now around at three.48lbs. On the perimeters, you get identical choice of ports: 2 USB three.0 connections, a full-sized HDMI socket, 2 Thunderbolt a pair of ports, associate American state card slot and a electro-acoustic transducer jack.

I in person feel the largest improvement is that the disk speeds. tho' the membrane show MacBook professional has had PCIe-based SSDs (which square measure quicker than mSATA ones) for a few year and a [*fr1] currently, Apple says the PCIe drives employed in the most recent MBP square measure double as quick because the 1st PCIe SSDs used. Specifically, the corporate says its new disks will reach peak browse speeds of one.6 GB/s and goop sequent write speeds of one.5 GB/s. thus essentially in layman's terms, this interprets to fast performance, poignant everything from app load times to cold boot-ups.

Apple this can be capable of up to ten hours of net browsing, or up to twelve hours of iTunes video playback. I work long hours owning a corporation and writing lots and that i found it stood the take a look at of your time. I accustomed get thus pissed off with my previous MacBook as I had to stay plugging it in, it had been half dozen years previous tho' and currently i'm on the brink of by my tenth apple product and third laptop computer only for the fun of upgrading thus i am terribly excited concerning probably shopping for this model and not having to borrow it.

      expensive but top quality laptop

I've always been a fan of MacBooks and this one is no exception, this mac like all the other ones is a strong durable build which is formed from a aluminium frame which means it can survive heavy drops and continue to function normally unlike other laptops which could break after one or two drops meaning that you've lost a considerable amount of money but not with this macbook. It also continues to have a sleek design which is simplistic but beautiful and with the amazing screen resolution combined with a backlit keyboard, there is no straining on your eyes when doing long hours work or just late night shopping. The Macbook 13inch comes with a intel I5 core processor which is capable of reaching great speeds and can handle pretty much any task with ease and is even brilliant at multi-tasking meaning you can perform lots of tasks on your laptop without having to worry if it will crash. And with the 128GB of stored memory you have no worry of exceeding your memory capacity as 128GB is plenty of space and I can store a range of films, music, books and also work documents without even denting the memory capacity. I also really love the fact that MacBooks like this one cannot catch viruses since there is simply no virus available for IOS and hasn't even been created yet and so there is no worry about paying for a fire wall or something else to protect it. Although this Mac is simply outstanding there is a catch, it costs £899.99 which is a lot of money for just a laptop but if you really want a top quality laptop then look no further. I love it.
