The Acer Iconia A3-A20 16GB is a recent Android Tablet released by Acer in mid 2016. I mainly use this for leisure readings and game playing.
The MediaTek MT8127 Quad Cortex A7 Processor is nothing like Intel Processor. This is a huge drawback for this product as Intel CPU has become the trend in tablet PC, mostly Core M, some are equipped with desktop-grade CPU like i5 and i7. This gives limited power for the Iconia A3 to perform. Therefore, Android OS is the only compatible system to be installed. Without a Windows OS, document processing works are not recommended on this product. first, I have tried the some document processing apps on Google Play but mostly requires a costly subscription. Second, those apps were not totally compatible with Microsoft Office applications. Therefore, this render the product to be an entertainment station.
As an entertainment station, this tablet serves its purpose very well. With all the apps I could download from Google Play, I could enjoy videos and games on it. It ran around 8 hours non stop due to its power efficient CPU, I could watched my collection of movies on my entire flight from my hometown to Taiwan. The light weight means it is possible to be carried around and put in my hand carry for boarding. If you find the apps cannot satisfy your needs or no internet connection, don't worry, you can always use the USB port and SD cards to view your videos or listen to your songs offline.
A little information on the specification. The ram is 1 gb so the temporary memory storage is limited. Multiple tasks would be difficult is your tasks are memory-demanding. Hard disk storage is limited to 16gb, therefore a SD card is a almost a must.
